AP Exams
Details
SHS students enrolled in AP classes are prepared and encouraged to take the College Board Advanced Placement Exams administered in May. It is important to note that with qualifying AP exam scores, students may earn college credit, advanced placement, or both at the majority of colleges and universities attended after high school graduation. The policy regarding issuance of college credit is determined only by the college or university a student attends and will vary between institutions. AP scores are valid even if a student transfers colleges. You can check any college's AP credit acceptance policy at AP Credit Policy Search.
Registration
College Board AP exam dates are May 1-5, 2023 and May 8-12, 2023. These are National AP exam dates. Please verify your student's availability before registering for testing. The full AP testing schedule is below. Online AP exam registration opens on Monday, October 3rd, through Thursday, October 27th. The cost of each regular exam is $97.00. If students qualify for Free/Reduced Lunch, the AP exam fee is $53.00.
Purchase Multiple Exams
Begin your Online Registration below which allows you to register for multiple exams at one time. To register for more than one exam, select your first exam and add to your Cart. Click Continue Shopping, and add your second exam. Repeat until all exams you wish to register for are in your Cart, then proceed through the Checkout process.
